Beersheba Springs is a small, charming town that feels like home to us, and we can’t wait to share it with you. We’ll be sending details directly to you about where to book your accommodations, so please hold off on making reservations until you receive official details. Lodging

The most convenient and efficient airport to fly into is Nashville International Airport (BNA). Our wedding is in a remote location that is not serviced by ride-share apps or public transportation. We recommend renting a car for the weekend or hitching a ride with a Nashville local. Please plan to book your rental in advance.

Airport + Rental Car

The drive from BNA to Beersheba takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. From the airport, you will take I-40 East towards Chattanooga. After about 50 miles on I-24, you will take exit 114 for TN-2 towards Manchester. Follow the signs to continue onto TN-55 E, which will lead you directly into the Beersheba Springs area. Please be aware that cell phone service in and on the way to Beersheba can be unreliable. We recommend downloading maps and driving directions offline before you travel, just in case!

Located in the Savage Gulf State Natural Area, Greeter Falls is an ideal day trip. This short, scenic hike leads you to two breathtaking waterfalls: the charming 15-foot Upper Falls and the powerful 50-foot Lower Falls. Surrounded by mossy cliffs and quiet pools, it’s a picture-perfect spot for a picnic or a refreshing summer dip.

Greeter Falls

Just a short drive from The Howell Cottage, the Stone Door Trail delivers a moderate hike with massive payoff. This geological marvel features the 10-foot-wide "Great Stone Door", a naturally formed split in the cliffside that once served as a passageway for Native Americans. Sweeping overlooks and fall foliage make this trail a must-see in every season.

Take a drive through Sewanee, where Lynn graduated from college! Home to The University of the South and its remarkable 13,000-acre campus. With gothic architecture, scenic overlooks, and charming shops and cafes, it's a great place to explore and grab a bite. Visit the Course at Sewanee if you're interested in a round of golf!

Please visit the Beersheba Map for more detail on where each of the events is taking place. If you would like transportation to the ceremony and reception, please park in or walk to the field where HWY 56 and Dahlgren Ave. split. Parking will be limited at both the ceremony and the reception. There will be transportation from the ceremony back to accommodations. More details coming soon.

Wedding Transportation

In addition to the normal wedding-wear we recommend packing for an adventure. Tennessee is hot and humid and though sometimes the plateau can provide relief from the heat, we recommend checking the weather the week of and planning accordingly. Beersheba Springs is surrounded by hiking trails, waterfalls, and scenic overlooks. We recommend bringing comfortable hiking or walking shoes and a swimsuit. Be ready to explore!

What should I pack? 

Beersheba is very remote and once you arrive there are few options. Dinner will be served both Friday and Saturday. our accommodations will be stocked with some light provisions. Additionally, there will be a centrally located house with more food and drink options available for everyone throughout the weekend. We'll provide the exact location closer.We recommend visiting the Beersheba Springs Market for breakfast and lunch options. Additionally, there are restaurants in Altamont and Tracy City, or you can make your way over to Sewanee for a larger variety of options. If heading to Sewanee, we recommend Mountain Goat Market, Sterlings, or the Sewanee Inn! See the Things to Do page for more.

Where should we eat? 

Our wedding is a celebration with our closest friends and family, and as such, we can only accommodate the guests specifically named on your invitation. We respectfully request that you refer to your invitation when you RSVP. Thank you for your understanding!

A Note on Plus-Ones & Children

For the welcome party on Friday, we'll be in a big red barn, so lean into the western theme. For ladies, sundresses or dressed-up denim. For the guys, a button-down with nice jeans or slacks is perfect. Sport coats are optional. To stay comfortable in the heat, we suggest lightweight fabrics. Boots are encouraged! Saturday is formal attire: suits for the guys and midi or floor-length dresses for the ladies. And please, no white or off-white.
