First time meeting-

Mac and I met my freshman year of college and Mac's senior year of high school. One of our mutual friends (shoutout William Simas!!) invited Mac to come to NC State for the weekend since he was planning to go there the next year. Mac came with us and some of our other friends to a backyard concert that was happening on my birthday actually. I'll be honest from that first meeting Mac did not really catch my eye but he was nice enough.

My sophomore year of college-

One of Mac and I's friends, Lauren Moore had bought four tickets to a Briston Maroney and Mt. Joy concert in Charlotte which just so happens to be where Mac's parents live. The three of us and one of Mac's high school friends ended up going to the concert and Mac offered for Lauren and I to stay at his house. We had dinner with his family, went to the concert, and then slept in his sister's bed. Believe it or not I was still not into him, and he was not into me. We weren't really even friends just acquaintances lol.

Vanderbilt ave-

Fast forward to when we lived on the same street, the famous Vanderbilt ave. This is where all the cool kids lived. The blue door porch is where a lot of us spent many of our nights. One of my besties and YL teammates John Merritt lived in blue door. John also happens to be one of Mac's besties and blue door happens to be directly across the street from Mac's house green door. One night I was on blue door's porch hanging out with John talking about who I was going to go to formal with. Then Mac arrives, my knight in shining armor, and John asks him who I should go to formal with. The exact words out of Mac's mouth were, "well I'll take ya if you wanna". I didn't want to go to formal by myself and I had finally realized that Mac was cute, so I said yes. I didn't really know Mac that well but I wanted to get to know him. I invited him over to my house a week later to hang out with me and my roommates. As he was leaving that night, he asked me out on a date. He took me on a picnic at the art museum. He had thought of everything. My favorite pizza, drinks and cups with ice, flowers, and he even cut up apple slices for us. We then went to formal together, a few more dates, and started officially dating April 12, 2023.

Pretty much right after we started dating, I went to Delaware for the summer and Mac went to Wilmington for our internships. It was a hard summer, but we made it and at that point we knew we were pretty locked in. We finished up college together and graduated. At this point we knew we wanted to get married but were trying to figure out timing. Then I moved to Burlington and Mac moved to Rocky Mount for work.

Proposal-

Mac proposed to me on November 23, 2024. He got me to Raleigh by having my friends plan a girl's weekend. He asked me to get lunch in Chapel Hill and then took me to a park and proposed at the top of a hill there. I said yes and screamed, danced, and jumped around so much that Mac had to tell me to come to him to put the ring on my finger. We then went and had an engagement party with all of our friends and parents. Now we are getting married!! We are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together!
