Our story began in 2017 in Pre-Calculus class at Plano Senior High School. It was the second week of school of junior year, and Faith realized that the current class she was in (Honors Pre-Calculus) was not going to work. So, she transferred into the "regs" Pre-Calculus class, which was the class that Mac was in. Imagine a typical high school math class- that is what is was. Mac worked up the courage after a few days to ask Faith to borrow one of her "fancy pens". He then asked for a pen every day for the rest of the year. We became friends!

Flash forward to Senior year, and we remained good friends. Hanging out in the parking lot and hallway's at Plano Senior, Mac always seemed to find Faith! That year was full of typical high school senior shenanigans until it was time to part ways for college. Faith and Mac were both collegiate athletes, and did not talk to each other for a few months. Then, Faith decided to text Mac one night, and that is really where it all started...

Flash forward to the start of COVID, and we were sent home from college. Faith begged her parents to let her hang out with Mac, and they agreed. We spent a significant amount of time together during the lockdown, and began dating. After the lockdown, we returned to college and started our long-distance relationship. We did long distance for 2.5 years. It was not always easy, but thank God for FaceTime! After college, we both moved back home and began our adult jobs.

Mac proposed to Faith on June 22, 2024 at The Dallas Arboretum, and planned a surprise party. We now live together in Plano with our cat, Butter. Our story is perfectly imperfect, and we made it through all the highs and lows of collegiate athletics, long distance, and figuring life out post-college.

We are so excited to get married, and start a whole new life together, as The Cheney's!
