There are a lot of things in our world that don’t make sense. This love story is not one of them.

Call it fate, call it destiny, call it God’s divine plan. Macie and Jake were meant to be together. They didn’t know it at the time, but when they were both applying to Florida State University, they were signing up for an awesome education, world class parties, and to meet their soulmate.

Speaking of world class parties, that’s where they met, at an FSU party. The summer of Sophomore year.

And we know how that story ended. Although Macie played hard to get, Jake insistently pursued her. He was on a mission! Texts, phone calls, dinner dates, meeting the family, home for the holidays… their love story kept growing as they added chapters to their own special fairy tale novel.

But what happened on October 2nd was better than anything Macie had ever dreamed of.

They set the scene in the beautiful and quiet village of Sant’ Angelo, Ischia. A peaceful fall night in this fairytale island off of the coast of Italy. Macie and her family have made countless memories here, a true home away from home.

As if it couldn’t be special enough, Jake proposed to Macie as the sun was setting over the island. Macie was in complete shock, this was better than anything she ever dreamed of! She said yes, of course! Celebrated by their moms, loved ones up above, and all of their family and friends.
