In 2018 Marcus and Mackayla sparked a friendship in Leduc Alberta.

After a year of getting to know each other Mackayla moved to Edmonton, and they lost contact until 2020, when she moved back to Leduc. 

Luckily for both of them, the condo Mackayla moved into was only a five minute walk from Marcus’ apartment. 

They reconnected as soon as she returned and started spending every day together. 

In April of 2021, Marcus and Mackayla started dating. 

In October 2021, they moved in together. 

After two of the best years, on August 14th 2023, he popped the question on the red beaches of Prince Edward Island.
