I met Jonathan about the third week of my freshman year at The University of South Carolina Upstate. It was during Greek Week recruitment, where his fraternity and my sorority were taking part in activities together. After that time we started spending a lot of time together.

During this time, Jonathan had changed his major from computer science to nursing. Both of us being nursing majors deepened our connection. We enjoyed competing with each other over our grades which pushed us and made us better. To my advantage, Jonathan, being a year ahead, helped me navigate through.

After a year and a half, we felt we were meant to be together. Jonathan gave me a promise ring, symbolizing our connection and commitment to each other.

We graduated together in 2023 with a Bachelor’s in Nursing. After a few months of searching we both accepted jobs with Prisma Greenville Memorial Hospital. Jonathan in the Emergency Room and myself in Labor and Delivery.
