Chris & Mackenzie attended the same high school almost 15 years ago but never crossed paths. The fact that they never did is shocking given the fact that their friend groups were so intertwined. While knowing OF each other they can't think of a single instance of spending time together in all 3 years they shared the school.
Cut to almost a decade later... Mackenzie is tending bar in Reston Town Center after coming back from a semester studying in London and in walks Chris to apply for a job. Taking a step away from the Corporate sales world, and still more than a year before he would start his own business, he was looking to get back to a job he'd enjoyed when he was younger.
Chris got the job and they worked side by side for a couple months, all the while becoming fairly close friends (Chris was seeing someone else at the time.)
While Mackenzie was truly respectful of Chris' relationship, when it eventually came to an end, she wasted NO time making her feelings known.
The debate rages to this day about who actually asked who out their first night of drinks in the Town Center, but at the end of the day they're both glad (whoever did it) did.
The rest, as they say, is history. From a quick night out in Reston town center wearing work clothes and covered in the various grime that comes from tending bar... to planning a life and a family together about to say their vows, the road that's lead to this point can be called many things but commonplace surely isn't one of them. The private details of joys, triumphs, struggles and growth they've experienced together have lain the foundation for their life to come and they're thrilled that you'll be helping them celebrate its beginning.
