Cameron and Mackenzie met in the summer of 2019 at a local community pool. It started as a friendship. They bonded over their desire to enter the military and their liking for the medical field. Cameron soon left for the Navy, and Mackenzie texted him every day while he was gone at boot camp. Cameron returned from boot camp a few months later, and their communication grew, as did their likeness for each other. They began dating on March 6, 2020, and have been long-distance. Cameron went on a 10-month deployment, and upon his return on September 9, 2022, he proposed to Mackenzie. They will marry on July 13, 2024, in Guntersville, Alabama.
