Our story begins in August 2020. With the pandemic looming, and human contact scarce, even for introverts, both Gabriel and I were looking for someone to connect with. We were on the front lines of Tinder, swiping in hopes of finding a match. Little did we know that the day we matched, would be the day we met in person. Gabriel, tired of being home, and me, tired of only seeing my coworkers, decided to hang out at my house despite the obvious dangers of meeting a stranger in person. Over the course of a few hours we bonded over music taste, Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars, tattoos, and instruments. That’s when I brought out my guitar, handed it to Gabriel, and received the most amazing (and only) serenade I had ever received. From that moment on, the teenager inside of me was screaming that this was my dream man from way back when. Blue hair, funny, kind, can sing and play instruments? I was dazed. Low and behold after he went home that night, he was already asking about seeing me the next day. We clicked so well I said of course. Shortly after that we started dating officially and started making memories. I came to find out later that Gabriel had been struggling with his mental health during the pandemic and in finding each other we found happiness and support we hadn’t experienced before.

August 27, 2020- Officially started dating.

August 1, 2021- Moved in together.

March 2022- Adopted our cat, Echo.

May 7, 2022- Engaged at the Holland Tulip Festival.

September 25, 2023- Welcomed our daughter, Amelia.

In between all the milestones and memories we have made together, we have also started some fun traditions. Going to Frankenmuth every year for a new ornament. Looking for Santa on Christmas Eve. Even the little things like cleaning together on Sundays or playing video games together are traditions we have come to enjoy. Over the four years we have known each other, we have grown a lot as people and as a couple. Now that our family has grown, we look forward to the new traditions we will create together. Like Taco Tuesday, Family Game night and of course, the annual Star Wars Movie Marathon! We are excited to see the growth and happiness our marriage will bring, and even more excited to share it with you.
