Marissa has known Kenzie since she first moved to Ankeny. Kenzie was one of her first friends she made when they were 8, and Kenzie's been stuck with her ever since. Marissa met Luke through Kenzie in their freshman year of college when they went on a double date to go bowling. It’s been so exciting watching their love grow! Marissa shares a birthday with her dog, Scout!

Alex and Luke first became friends in 6th grade as they rode the same bus to school and ended up living only a handful of houses down from each other. They have remained good friends ever since, bonding over their shared interests of fishing, soccer, and lifting. In the Hartnett household, Alex became known as “the third son” by Luke’s mother as they spent so much time together. Alex works as a firefighter paramedic for Johnston Grimes FD!

Randie went to Simpson College with Mackenzie and Luke! Mackenzie and Randie were roommates their junior year, and that’s when they became close! They are now helping each other get through graduate school at Des Moines University! Randie loves softball, which also brought her and Mackenzie together! Cheers to the couple!

Although Tanner and Luke have known each other since kindergarten, they did not become good friends until high school. They met again through a mutual friend to go ice fishing for an afternoon, and the rest is history. Even with going to different colleges, Luke and Tanner would frequently fish or golf together. Tanner has his hands full with two German Shorthairs. He has trained one to go pheasant hunting with him, and the other is still a puppy!

Kaelene met Mackenzie and Luke during their junior year of college through her husband, Jimmy, who was one of Luke's roommates at Simpson College. Her and Mackenzie have been "one of the boys" ever since! Kaelene is also an adoptee and an owner of two cats and a dog!

Luke was a freshman in college when he first met Jimmy, who was the community assistant (CA) for his dorm floor. Luke, and fellow freshmen Simon and Micah, quickly befriended “the cool CA.” Although Jimmy was a class above Luke, they stayed close and became roommates during Luke’s junior year of college. Jimmy and Luke would escape classes by visiting the local golf courses and living by Jimmy’s motto of “always keep another ball in your pocket!”

Hannah met Kenzie in middle school where they had multiple classes together. They have been friends ever since! Hannah and Kenzie made many memories attending sporting events and taking part in show choir in 8th and 9th grade. Kenzie was also in Hannah's wedding in 2019. Hannah loves to sing, write songs, and spend time with her two little ones!

Simon (AKA Fred) first met at a Simpson soccer summer camp. They were both set to be incoming freshmen on the soccer team that fall. They became really good friends as their dorm rooms ended up being right down the hall from each other. They helped each other through endless practices, bus rides, and early morning team lifts. Simon and Luke visited Costa Rica together with the soccer team their sophomore year of college!

Bri And Kenzie met freshman year of college where they became good friends. They grew closer by both being on the softball team and taking the same exercise science classes with goals of becoming an occupational (Bri) or physical (Kenzie) therapist! Bri had a pet fish named killer, and it lived for 8 years!

Micah and Luke met in college as they were both on the Simpson soccer team. They became good friends while being dorm room neighbors their freshman year and would end up being roommates their remaining 3 years of college. Micah was known as the “gamer” of the group, and both Luke and Micah enjoyed being the antagonists of friendly banter in the gaming party. Micah built his own gaming PC and can speak Korean!

Blake is Mackenzie's brother. Blake attends Simpson College where he majors in Environmental Science. Blake and Mackenzie both enjoy unintentionally creating scavenger hunts while exercising their amateur golf skills. He simultaneously performs on the stage and on the track!

Cole is Luke's brother. Cole attended Central college for two years where he was on the golf team. He currently attends the University of Iowa, majoring in finance as well as risk management and insurance. Cole has won a golf tournament while on the Central team!

Aiden is Mackenzie's cousin. Aiden enjoys playing the trumpet and is a competitive dancer. He would like to be a band director when he grows up.

Reid is Mackenzie's cousin. Reid loves all things super heros and exploring outside. He wants to be a tree climber and a science teacher when he grows up.

Archer is Mackenzie's cousin. Archer enjoys running wild, pretending he is a super hero, and wants to be Spider-Man when he grows up.

Amelia is Mackenzie's cousin. Amelia loves to read, and compete in dance. She would like to own an animal rescue when she grows up.

Lucy is Mackenzie's cousin. Lucy loves all things dance, music, and learning new things. She would love to be a dance teacher when she grows up.

Nora is Mackenzie's cousin. Nora is small but mighty and full of personality. She wants to be a mommy when she grows up.
