Monroe Lake is a reservoir located about 10 miles southeast of Bloomington, Indiana, United States. The lake is the largest entirely situated in Indiana with 10,750 acres of water surface area spread over the counties of Monroe and Brown. Capacity varies from 292 gigalitres to 428 gigalitres depending on water level.

After youve walked Kirkwood & The Square, head down to the B-Line Trail to log even more steps and discover some great off-the-beaten path destinations. If you happen to be visiting on a Saturday morning, youll also pass the Community Farmers Market as you stroll the B-Line — make a pit stop for a locally-made bottle of maple syrup or a beeswax candle.
A visit to Bluespring Caverns will bring you, first of all, to the park above the Caverns. Mine for gems in our gemstone mining sluice, hike our trails, enjoy a picnic lunch and explore an underground world of wonders on our guided boat tour.
