Christmas night 2019, Jake wandered up to the 7th floor at South Pointe Hospital looking for an ultrasound machine and ended up finding his future wife instead. Mackenzie and Jake went on their first date a month later at the Cleveland Natural History Museum but unfortunately a month after that Mackenzie left for a new job at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Jake went his separate way to work in NYC as a nurse during the beginning of Covid. After about three months Jake moved to Nashville as he took a job at VUMC as well. Many moves and two dogs later Jake and Mackenzie are happily living in Cleveland. Their wedding is 8/3/24 in Jamaica and a local reception will be held to 9/7/24 in Cleveland to celebrate with family and friends!
