Q + A

When should I RSVP by?

Please let us know if you can join us by October 1, 2025. We appreciate your prompt response! RSVPs will open when official invitations are sent. Please RSVP using the integrated feature on this website, as it helps us keep track of our guest count. If you are unable to use this feature, you can email us at theshawgowedding@gmail.com!

Is there a dress code or colors I should avoid?

We’d love to see you at your best! If you feel like going all out in a tux or gown, please do. If not, a polished suit or a stylish cocktail dress will also be perfect. Our bridesmaids will be in a beautiful muted pink, and our groomsmen will be wearing burgundy. If you'd prefer not to blend in with the wedding party, we suggest avoiding those colors.

Can I bring my kids?

We love your little ones, but we’ve chosen to make this an adults-only celebration. We hope you can enjoy a relaxing evening out!

What about parking?

Wild Carrot has non-residential, non-metered and open-street parking along the east side of the venue (39th street) where guests are welcome to park. Space is limited, so rideshare options are encouraged! Then, you can enjoy the open bar to the fullest extent ;)

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We’d love for you to be fully present. We kindly request an unplugged ceremony—please turn off your devices until after the “I dos.”

Will the celebration be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and reception will be indoors and in the same location!

What about dinner?

We will have Salt & Smoke barbecue available for dinner, buffet style! There will be vegetarian options for those who indicated on their RSVP.

Where are you registered for gifts?

Your presence and support are truly the best gifts! If you’d like to contribute further, we have a small registry with a few things we’d love for our home. That being said, our top wish is for experiences over things! If you'd like to contribute to our honeymoon fund, that would mean the world to us. You can find both the registry and the fund linked on this site under the "registry" tab — thank you so much for helping us celebrate!

Will there be an after party?

Yes!!! Everyone is invited to continue the celebration after the reception at UpDown Arcade bar in St. Louis. The address is: 405 N. Euclid Ave. St. Louis, MO 63108

I love you guys, but "Wicked: For Good" is premiering on the same night...will your wedding be as amazing as seeing the film??

You could go to the Wicked premier...but the Popular decision will be to celebrate with us! You'll be changed for the better as you witness love defy gravity. Trust us, even Elphaba would RSVP "yes".
