What's the beach bonfire going to consist of?
Brandon and Mackenzie are choosing to get married in a small ceremony the day before a few hours away from Grayton Beach, then hold a large party for all friends and family to attend. That being said, the beach bonfire will consist of catered food, drinks, and fellowship celebrating the happy couple. A limited number of chairs will be available for the beach bonfire, but you are also welcome to bring your own beach chairs, food, or drink, based on your dietary needs and preferences.
What rules should I know before attending the bonfire?
There are a few important rules to keep in mind to make sure the beach bonfire is held according to the event permit! The happy couple would like for you to remember:
-No glass is allowed on the beach. If you are BYOB, make sure it's NOT in a glass container.
-This event is not pet-friendly.
-Parking and bathroom use can be limited, please plan ahead (more info on parking and a free shuttle is below).
-Please help us keep the beach clean and throw away all trash.
I want to attend, but where should I stay?
South Walton is home to thousands of short-term rental options as well as a limited number of hotels between the western end of Panama City Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, and Miramar Beach. Please thoroughly research your options and select the best fit for you and your family. Ride share alternatives such as Uber are available locally for those who are staying within driving distance of the beach but do not have a car on-site.
What's the best way to travel to this?
South Walton is bordered by Panama City Beach and Destin, both of which have airports (ECP and VPS respectively) within about 45 minutes of a drive. Flights are easy to book online through your desired airline and both airports also have rental car options. Road trips may take a little longer depending on where you are traveling from, but they are often the cheapest option.
How do I get to the beach bonfire?
The beach bonfire is going to be held at the Grayton Dunes Neighborhood Beach Access in Grayton Beach, Florida. This access is ADA Accessible but is limited on parking for a large event. Fortunately, there is a free, Large Parking lot north of County Highway 30A with a SHUTTLE directly to the beach access. Learn more here: https://www.visitsouthwalton.com/grayton-beach-tram/
