Joshua and Mackenzie met in January 2020 and instantly fell in love❣️this is a picture from their first date in Pittsburgh

Shortly after meeting, COVID-19 hit the US and WVU sent all students home. Joshua and Mackenzie continued to travel (with plenty of negative COVID test) to see each other for the rest of the semester and summer. On March 19th Joshua asked Mackenzie to officially be his girlfriend!

6 Months later, COVID allowed us to go back to school. Joshua and Mackenzie made sure to treasure every moment together, even with the tight restrictions.

Joshua and Mackenzie spent their one year anniversary in Columbus, Ohio. A foreshadowing of their future in Ohio.

Joshua graduated with his engineering degree from WVU. He pursued a job in Ohio and moved out there shortly after graduation. Mackenzie stayed at WVU for one more year to complete her degree.

4 hour drives were common over the next year, from Dayton to Morgantown and vise versa. We also added a sweet doodle named Bernoulli (an engineering equation) to our family

Josh's family have an annual tailgate at WVU. This was the first year that Mackenzie attended with the Gross'

Mackenzie graduated with her engineering degree. Joshua was there supporting every step of the way. Mackenzie moved to Ohio shortly after graduation and moved in with Joshua.

Mackenzie and Joshua soaked in the sun and spent their three year anniversary on a Richardson Family Trip to Mexico!

Mackenzie and Joshua added another fur baby, Honey, to their family!

Joshua proposed to Mackenzie at Cooper's Rock in Morgantown. Even though the sun didn't rise and it was a rainy day, it was the perfect time for an engagement in our favorite place. Joshua had gathered most of our close family and friends to be waiting at the annual tailgate to celebrate. WVU even won, so country roads really did bring us home.

Joshua and Mackenzie bought a house! they settled down in Centerville, Ohio with Gingerbread, Honey and Bernoulli.
