While Mac and Steve first started dating in 2018, they unknowingly crossed paths in 2011 when Incubus played the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Alpharetta, GA. Little did Mac know that her future husband was in the audience. Little did Steve know that, when it came to find a ride home among the post-concert crowd with his brother and best friend, his future wife was out there, in that same crowd, finding the way back to her home on Linkside Drive, only 15 minutes away from Steve’s childhood home on Jasmine Way. Despite living so close to one another, neither future husband nor wife had any idea the other existed.

Years would pass. Still unaware of each other, Mac and Steve would both go to college, but somehow, moving farther away only brought them closer together. At college, Steve would meet one of Mac's lifetime friends, who, during one of those long winter breaks that only college students seem to have, introduced him to Mac.

More years would then pass. Steve graduated college and moved back to Georgia, where he saw more and more of Mac during another long winter break, until, one extremely fortunate day, Steve got a haircut.

Mac then realized that Steve was cute.

On the other hand, Steve had always thought Mac was cute, and he had finally decided to get over himself and his post-college blues to ask Mac out.

Not long after that, the two fell in love. Dozens of road trips, hundreds of concerts, and thousands of indescribable moments would follow. Breakfast at the Waffle King, movies at the pandemic drive-in, countless nights spent with friends and family–they would all play their parts in a story that begins its next chapter this May, when both Mac and Steve make official what they’ve felt in their hearts for so long.

It’s about time.
