Topsail Island is nearly 40 miles northeast of Wilmington, NC, and contains three charming seaside towns: North Topsail Beach, Surf City, and Topsail Beach.

Topsail is easily accessible by car or you can fly into a nearby airport:

- Jacksonville (OAJ): 26.2 miles away

- Wilmington (ILM): 28.8 miles

- Myrtle Beach (MYR): 99.9 miles

- Raleigh/Durham (RDU): 123.2 miles

There are no Ubers/Lyfts in the Topsail area and minimal transportation options otherwise so please plan accordingly.

The mainland right before the bridge and the first town as you cross over the bridge is Surf City. Located in the middle of the island, this is the most commercial destination and where the majority of restaurants and shops are located.

When looking for lodging options, please be sure to set the location to Surf City or Topsail Beach. You are more than welcome to stay in nearby areas like Hampstead, Holly Ridge, Sneads Ferry, or North Topsail Beach where more hotels and rental houses will be available, but please take note of the driving distance from the wedding venue before booking.
