Max and Mackenzie met the old fashion way--a dating app!

After matching on Bumble, Max and Mackenzie met for beers at Platte River Brewery. Max famously treated the date like a job interview. At the end of the date Mackenzie assumed that Max was an extremely serious dude. It wasn't until spending time with Max around his friends that Mackenzie saw who Max really was--a lovable goofball.

The following month Mackenzie convinced Max to get a puppy and shortly thereafter the two were joined by Cooper, the absolute love of their lives.

In the following months, Max and Mackenzie continued to date as Mackenzie navigated her first year of law school. Max was incredibly supportive and accompanied Mackenzie to scholarship dinners where she mostly sat silently and allowed Max to chat up everyone on her behalf.

Cut to March of 2020 and the lockdown. Mackenzie, in an abundance of caution (and anxiety) told Max that he could either move in with her or they wouldn't see each other until the end of the pandemic. So Max and young Cooper moved into Mackenzie's studio apartment and the three of them became roommates. Surprisingly, they all survived to tell the tale!

September of 2020 Max, Mackenzie, and Cooper moved out of the studio apartment and into their first home. Mackenzie and Cooper together attended Zoom law school while Max tackled his new job.

Max continued to teach Mackenzie how to cook meals without a microwave and Mackenzie desperately tried to teach Max the intricate social dynamics of Vanderpump Rules and all things Bravo.

On February 26, 2022, Max proposed to Mackenzie in Estes Park much to Mackenzie's surprise. Mackenzie had always assumed she would see the proposal coming from a mile away (as those who know and love Max know he is not the most subtle person). But alas! Max pulled off an elaborate surprise, proposing to Mackenzie with the most meaningful ring and the love and support of their family and friends.

And then a bunch of stuff happened (graduations, bar exams, a new job, Cooper being the best boy in the world, Max getting super into cycling, a new home, another new job).

That brings us to the wedding! Max, Mackenzie, and Cooper are so grateful to have everyone join them on this next part of their journey.
