Austin & Mac met downtown Boise in October 2019 at one of their favorite college bars, Humpin' Hannahs. It was a real life 'meet cute' where they locked eyes and Austin crossed the dance floor to ask Mac if he could buy her a drink. They shared a few drinks and laughs but after that night they went their separate ways... at least for a little while. In February 2021, while Mac was out celebrating a friend's (bridesmaid, Mollie's) birthday, Austin and Mac ran into one another at yet again, Humpin' Hannahs. Austin then asked Mac if she would please go on a date with him, which she finally gave in and accepted. Mac went into the date not intending for it to lead anywhere, as she was moving to Orlando, FL in a few months to further her education. Austin was ambitious and decided to take Mac skiing for their first date as they both loved the mountains. On the way up the mountain Mac and Austin bonded over their love for movies, music and their shared hobbies. Mac informed Austin that as amazing as he is, unfortunately, this cannot lead anywhere as she is moving to Florida soon, to which Austin responded “Are you joking?”. He tells her that he is planning on moving to Tampa, FL in the next year as he wants to live near the ocean and go back to the state in which he was born. The two laughed endlessly about how ironic and crazy it was that they had similar plans.

and the rest is history.

The two moved to Florida where their days are filled with Disney parks, beach trips and finding "hikes" to go on with their dogs, Walter and Pendry.
