Our Wedding

Funny enough Michael and I met on a dating app. We had initially matched and talked for a little bit then we went a couple months without talking. One day he reached out to me on Snapchat. We talked on Snapchat and then eventually started texting, calling, and FaceTiming. Michael met me when I was grieving and was the biggest gift God could have given me to help me be happy again.

How We Met

Our first date was an all day event. We went to Cape Meares which would later become more significant for the two of us. We also went and got breakfast and ate it by the bay which was gorgeous. We went to the top of the world together. We went to Dutch Mill for dinner. We talked all day about everything and it all felt so natural. We felt so close to one another and vulnerable with our feelings and goals for life. We covered just about every topic that day.

Our First Date (January 22nd)

We knew that we wanted to be together just a couple days after our first date. The feelings we felt for eachother was one that neither of us felt before. Where Michael had called me a “unicorn” (rare). We went to the river and watched the sunset that day. 

Making it official (January 27th,2022)

This night I said that I loved Michael for the first time. He knew that in my previous relationships that the guy said it earlier than I felt it and I wanted to make sure I felt this way before saying it. He let me set the pace. Little did I know when Michael would grab my hand squeeze it 3 times was his way of saying I love you before I did. It was a beautiful night by the ocean with a fire on the beach and stars shining in the sky. 

The First I Love You (February 5th, 2022)

We went to the spot where we had our first date and to the place we said I love you for the first time which was at Cape Meares. It was such a beautiful day. The tide was very low and we were able to access this cave and rock like structure that you do not see very often. It was a very special day with love.

Tiff is my aunt and has been like a sister to me my entire life. We went through all seasons of life together. She is always my biggest supporter and someone I could never imagine my day without. She is also the person who knows everything about me and is someone who can put up with me 😂

Tiffny Smith 

Jessalyn (Jessie) and I met in college at George Fox University. We gravitated to eachother freshman year but truly became friends sophomore year. Jessie a god loving woman who has helped me with my faith journey and bringing me closer to Christ. She went through the happy and sad parts of life with me. We grieved together, laughed together, and prayed together. She is a friend that I am so grateful God put into my life. I was honored to be a bridesmaid at her wedding and so excited to have her in my wedding!

Jessalyn Smith

My aunt Kai was always a person who I could count on growing up. No matter the distance she was always someone who was there and that I could talk to. She and her family have been in Amsterdam for a couple years. I was a junior bridesmaid in her wedding a couple years ago and now I am so excited for her to be apart of mine!

Kai Luu

Meghan is Michael’s sister and when we met we became close very easily. She truly is like a sister to me and I can’t wait for her to be my sister in law!

Cayla and I met our sophomore year of college when Jessie introduced us to one another. Cayla quickly became a really close friend to me. We would have very serious life conversations on the couch in our apartment. We laughed til we couldn’t laugh anymore and danced together all the time whether that was through Zumba or in our living room for tik toks. Cayla was also someone I could always lean on and would always listen to me. I could not imagine getting through college without Cayla. And I could not imagine my wedding day without her by my side.

This is my cousin Kadence. We grew up together and she was basically my little sister growing up. She is someone who would always come over and hang out with me and who was always a built in best friend.

This is my cousin Maxine. Coming all the way from Amsterdam! She is such a smart girl with the biggest heart. She will always practice cheers with me and does some gymnastics. She is quite the musician, both singing and playing instruments. She also has dance parties anytime she can.

Maxine Luu

This is my cousin Sloane. Coming all the way from Amsterdam! She is the sassiest little thing and is the funniest little girl you will meet. She has been asking when the wedding is going to be and is so excited to be a flower girl.

Austin is Michael’s cousin. Austin is such a sweet girl but also has some sass. She is competitive and loves to dance and play softball!

This is my cousin Bentley. He has the biggest heart and will tell you everything about the Bible.

Beckham is my baby cousin. He is the sweetest little guy and smiles all the time!

Beckham Ellsworth

Matthew is someone that Michael has always felt close to. Matthew is Michael’s uncle. The pair love to fish together. Matthew also loves photography and worshipping on Sundays!

Matthew Dodge

Kyle is Michael’s uncle and adventure buddy. Whether it’s fishing or mountain biking you can catch these two adventuring the great outdoors. The pair are also two jokesters and love to crack jokes and laugh together.
