Our story started in the fall of 2019 at the University of Louisville, Koby’s first semester as a freshman and Kenzie’s sophomore year, although Kenzie prefers not to focus too much on the fact that she’s older.While Koby knew pretty quickly he wanted to get to know Kenzie better, she admittedly made him work for it. For the first few weeks, his text messages went unanswered until finally, in December, she replied. Safe to say it was worth the wait.From that point on, we’ve been inseparable. We dated all throughout college, growing up together through late night study sessions, weekend adventures, countless laughs, and all the little moments in between. Somewhere along the way, we became best friends, the kind that can spend a weekend traveling somewhere new just as happily as staying home binge watching true crime documentaries together.During college, we fostered a dog named Cashew, who later went on to become a tracking dog for someone with autism, something that will always be really special to us. Now, our goldendoodle Rolo keeps life entertaining and has officially become the center of our little family.Over the years, we’ve built a relationship rooted in being completely ourselves with each other. We’re laid back, genuine, and happiest whether we’re exploring somewhere new or relaxing at home together.After 5.5 years together, Koby finally decided it was time. In May 2025, while traveling through Portugal, he proposed at the breathtaking Benagil Cave in the Algarve region. It was one of those moments that felt surreal and perfectly “us” all at once, adventurous, meaningful, and unforgettable.We feel incredibly lucky for the life we’ve built together so far and even more excited for everything ahead.
