temperatures in new orleans in late may range from mid 60's to mid 80's, with a very low chance of rain - super comfortable !

a bit of both! the museum itself has a small inside area that opens into a courtyard in the back. we will be using both spaces, but the majority will take place outdoors.

the new orleans "second line" is a joyful and lively tradition deeply rooted in the city's culture, often seen in celebrations like weddings, parades, and other festive occasions. it involves a procession where participants follow a brass band, forming two lines: the "first line" comprises the main celebrants (such as the newlyweds and close family), while the "second line" is made up of onlookers, friends, and other guests who join in, dancing and waving handkerchiefs or umbrellas in the air.

while we encourage all guests to join in the tradition with us, those that wish to remain inside the museum while the space is flipped are welcome to do so.

due to the space limitations of our venue, we unfortunately have to limit the rehearsal dinner guest list to those family members and wedding attendants who will be notified via invitation. we apologize in advance to those who are not included, but again remind all guests that they are welcome to join us after the reception to embrace the night life of new orleans !

help us get the party started as scheduled! we recommend that you arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time. guests are also encouraged to take advantage of the fact that our venue is an active, thriving museum, and may arrive early to walk through the vintage pharmacy!

the museum itself has roadside parking available. in addition, there are several paid lots in close proximity. lastly, if guests elect to stay at the Omni Royal Orleans hotel, there is a valet service, as well as a parking lot connected to the building itself.

unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. our celebration is strictly RSVP only. we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.
