Michael's Version

Mackenzie was riding in the back of a taxi, on her way for a 15 mile hike to the biggest volcano on the islands. Out of nowhere, her driver swerved to miss a biker, and in the commotion ended up running right into a man going for a jog. Mackenzie leapt out of the car to make sure he was okay, but when she got to him the man was laughing. Incredulous, Mackenzie yelled at him to get up and be more careful, but he was still laughing as he looked up at her. "I'm Michael", he said. "Hi Michael, you scared the crap out of me". Well Michael took his shot and asked her, still laughing, if he could make it up to her by grabbing her coffee. Slowly, Mackenzie began to smile too, as she shot back her answer, "I will go to coffee with you, but only if you come with me on this easy hike." 15 miles later, Michael would be exhausted and smitten and excited for coffee all at once. "an easy hike?" he said, his smile getting somehow bigger, "I'm in".

Nah we meant online haha but luckily are just as in love as we are in that story. Every day is my 15 mile hike through the volcanoes of Hawaii and I love every second of it- Michael

Mackenzie's Version

07.11.21. I sign up for my first half marathon.

07.21. I tell my therapist I'm not going to worry about dating seriously until after my half marathon.

07.19.21. Sitting on my friend's couch in Iowa I wrote a list of 70 things I wanted in my partner "My Soulmate is on the Way".

07.19.21. Michael moves from Orange County to San Diego.

10.24.21. I run my first half marathon. Recovering on the couch after, I ask Lydia what she thinks of mustaches. I proceed to make the best decision of my life by ignoring her opinion and matching with a man who ends up checking 70/70 things off on my list. My soulmate. Michael Stewart.

The universe is conspiring to give you everything you want and deserve, you just have to know what that is to be able to find it ❤️

Michael, thank you for showing me a love more profound than I knew was possible. Thank you for proving to me I don’t have to sacrifice any part of myself to be in a healthy partnership. Thank you for pushing me to grow and understand myself on a deeper level. Thank you for opening my eyes to what it truly means to live this life fully.
