We want to invite everyone for a fun day of white water rafting (or floating depending on the water levels) on the Hudson River!

Mackenzie's family operates a rafting company, Adirondack River Outfitters, based in North River, NY, about an hour and twenty minutes south of Lake Placid. The rafting trip down the Hudson River takes most of the day, starting at 9am. This means an early morning start to get to North River on time from Lake Placid – but a trip well worth it!

For those that are driving from south of Lake Placid (NYC or Albany airport), staying in North River Friday night is an option (as opposed to staying in Lake Placid and making the drive back south in the morning). There is not a surplus of accommodation options in North River, but if you would like to stay closer to the rafting trip location on Friday night, we are happy to help you find nearby accommodations. Mackenzie's brother Dylan owns and operates a hostel that is just steps away from the rafting headquarters, so this would be a great spot if there is any availability!

To begin the wedding festivities and welcome everyone to Lake Placid, the night prior to the wedding (Saturday, August 31, 2019) we will be hosting a welcome party from 7:30-9:30 pm on top of the Golden Arrow Boathouse. The boathouse is attached to the Golden Arrow Hotel, where we have a room block available for wedding guests to reserve.

The welcome party will include an hour of open bar followed by the hotel's regular bar service plus light hors d'oeuvres.

Attire: Smart casual

Our ceremony will take place down by the lake. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early to be seated.

Following the ceremony we welcome everyone to join us for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Moose Lodge Boathouse, located directly next to the ceremony location.

At the conclusion of cocktail hour we will all make the short walk to the Adirondack Dining Room to enjoy dinner, and dance the night away at the reception.
