McDonalds. Where it all began... The first sight, the first introduction, the first conversation- it all left a curiosity and a longing for more. Annie was informed by a friend that Macrae "had the hots for her" which was quickly dismissed but in fact extremely true. The pining and pursuing had begun - albeit one-sided at this point...

Friendship came easy and brought plenty of fun and laughs. Pranks characterized our first semester together as we laughed uncontrollably (our favorite prank being filling up all the tupperware and glasses with water before returning them to the cupboards). Amusement was not shared by our friends who awoke to their coffee mugs filled to the brim.

A confession of feelings for one another was inevitable. Now the intentional pursuit of the other began! Macrae had been dreaming of this day for months...

March and April were full of going on dates and getting to know each other more. Intentional time was our favorite part of the week - it got us through classes and homework and everything in between.

Officially boyfriend and girlfriend! Yay!

Time together was full of adventure, including learning new skills (🚴🏼‍♀️)! Macrae is a very patient teacher. Macrae would also like to add that the skills Annie is proficient in are much more difficult to learn (ie. sewing, photography, and other extremely creative endeavors).

Macrae graduated from Miami University! Barely...

Summertime! The roads between Oxford and Columbus were frequently traveled as Annie lived and worked in Columbus and Macrae raised support for Cru while still in Oxford.

Back in Oxford for one final year- Macrae as an intern for Cru and Annie as a senior at Miami! We both currently miss how tan we look in this photo...

Fall semester was, again, filled with adventure and learning new skills (🏌🏼‍♀️)! Patience is required as we both learn new things. Macrae has yet to learn how to photograph with any defining skill but he has enjoyed accompanying Annie on photography assignments. Annie, however, barely missed a birdie putt her second time golfing. Macrae guesses some things come naturally and don't require years of hard work and tee times for the same opportunity to arise. He's not mad, more so extremely impressed.

A week before the engagement! The ring is secured, Annie is clueless, all is right on track.
