Logan and Macy met in April of 2023 on a Christian dating app. Logan slid into the DMs and started the conversation with Macy by swiftly saying, Howdy. After exchanging maybe 3 or 4 messages, Macy made a bold decision to tell Logan. He quote, “Gave her good vibes and asked to call Logan. After picking up the phone call, Macy and Logan talked for almost two hours. During this time, they learned more and more about each other. A good portion of that phone call was Macy obsessing about Logan's cute southern accent, even though he is not from the south and he claims he does not have an accent. The two also bonded over their love of church and youth ministry. In the days to follow, Macy would bravely tell her parents she met a guy online and that she was wanting to go on a date with him, but he lived in Ohio, which was a long drive away. After a brief phone call with my parents interrogating Logan, they gave their sign of approval. Logan then asked Macy out and they set out to go on their first date with each other in New Castle, Indiana.

For Macy and Logan's first date, they met about halfway through New Castle, Indiana. They intentionally met each other in a Walmart parking lot because Logan was convinced that Macy might be a random internet stranger trying to muder him. After meeting each other, the first thing Macy remembers is how good Logan smelled. The two ventured around Walmart while awkwardly talking. They picked out snacks to bring to their picnic date in a local park in New Castle. They choose fruit, strawberry shortcake cupcakes, and chips. After driving separately, they both arrived at the picnic location. Logan surprised Macy with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. The two ate snacks and talked. Logan's favorite moment of the date was when Macy tried to eat a strawberry shortcake cupcake where the icing was stacked on, and she ended up getting it all over her nose and face. After the picnic, the couple walked around the park when Macy grabbed Logan's hand, which he said took away his anxiety instantly. After more talking and a big hug goodbye, they were both on the road back home, which would be the first of many long drives home. On the way back home, Macy recalls pulling over, calling her sister, and saying that she is confident she just met her future husband.

From then on, Macy and Logan had many phone calls and FaceTime's; however, the true test was Logan meeting Macy's huge, crazy family. On April 29th, Logan met the Corbin family. Instantly, he hit it off, with Micah talking about all things nerdy. Logan quickly earned the Corbin sign of approval. This day, Logan and Macy also had their first kiss as Maverick ran up and down the hallway, trying to catch them in the act of kissing.

The love between Macy and Logan only grew when Macy met the Woods family for the first time. Instantly, she loved his family and how kind they were. Logan's mom, Tonya, likes to say that if Logan ever tried to leave me, then she would have to get rid of him and adopt Macy.

During the early summer, the two learned more about each other as they fell more in love. They knew that this relationship was something that only God could have orchestrated, that somehow two people in two different states would come to know and love each other. It's so crazy how one day you are all by yourself and in the next, you find someone you cannot live without.

In the summer of 2023, Macy's life went through unimaginable amounts of grief and loss. The loss of her great-grandma was followed by the loss of her nephew a month later. During this time, no one knew how to best help Macy. But Logan did. Throughout the grieving process, Logan has allowed Macy Space to process certain things over and over again. Macy said that the way he makes me laugh, even when I'm crying, is truly a gift. God knew exactly what I needed when he gave me Logan Woods.

In November, Logan got Macy a promise ring. Symbolizing the fact that she is his forever and that he promises to make her his through marriage one day, A week or so later, Logan and Macy took their first family vacation with the Woods to Disney World. Logan loves Disney, and this was a chance for him to immerse Macy into his world. In Florida, Macy met tons of Logans family and was given their blessing on the relationship. Macy's favorite memory of the Disney trip was coming back from Magic Kingdom after being absolutely soaked in rain, ordering pizza, and watching a movie. Fun fact: the biggest fight Macy and Logan ever had was in a buc ee's on the way to Disney World. They argued about praline pecans. Don't ask...

December marked the first Christmas season the two would spend together, and they both enjoyed learning each other's family traditions and picking out unique, intentional gifts for each other.

January started at 12 a.m., when the ball dropped and the two rang in the new year with a new-year kiss. During January, Logan and Macy found the cutest little old person house they bought to make their own. They then started the journey of fixing it up and making it perfect for their little family.

February marked a pivotal time in Macy and Logan's relationship, as on February 14th, Logan asked Macy to always be his Valentine with a beautiful, engagement ring. Logan crafted a wonderful plan to propose. Although he told Macy that he was trapped at work until 6 p.m. because of an audit, secretly, he was setting up Macy's dream proposal in The Willow Creek Wedding Barn, where the two are getting married. Macy got all dressed up and got her nails done with her best friend, all while Logan was anxiously waiting for Macy to get back. Macy pulled up to the barn, and as she walked in, she heard one of her favorite love songs playing. As she got further into the barn, she realized there were flowers and her favorite kind of cookie, which you can only get in Florida. As she looked back, she realized her best friend was taking pictures, and by the time she turned back around, Logan was in front of her and told her he needed to ask her a very special question. After he popped the question, Macy proceeded to stand there in disbelief. However, she says saying yes is the best decision she will ever make.

As they plan for their wedding and future together, Macy and Logan are mindful of the inevitable challenges ahead. Yet, they choose to approach their relationship with gratitude and the perspective that loving each other is a privilege of a lifetime.
