Our Wedding

It’s amazing how a simple friendship can blossom into a love story that takes your breath away. These words reign true and are the foundation of our relationship and the beginning of our journey together.  Soon after Macy moved to New York in 2012, we met in White Plains through a mutual friend. We didn’t know it then, but we were going to become the best of friends. 

How We Met

After being friends for over a year, we began to realize our feelings for each other had grown into something we could no longer deny. We went from casually hanging out with friends, to wanting to spend more time together. We became nearly inseparable and our love for each other was apparent. April 19, 2014 Robert asked Macy if she wanted to go to the New York International Auto show in NYC! After spending the day walking around the show and talking about which cars we wanted, he decided to take her to Times Square. She didn’t know this, but he was about to change their lives. Once we got to the famous Red Stairs, Robert gave a proposal like speech about how he can’t imagine a life without Macy and if she would officially be his girlfriend. Of course she said YES!

Will You Be My Girlfriend?

The summer after officially starting dating, Robert traveled to North Carolina with Macy to meet her family. Soon after we arrived back in New York, Macy met Robert’s parents and sisters. This was an important step in our relationship together, since our families mean so much to us both. We wanted to share our love and introduce them to who we imagined spending the rest of our lives with. The Thanksgiving after, Macy met more of Robert’s family and it was the first of many holidays spent together. 

Meeting The Family 

<p>After graduating college in 2015, we decided to take the next big step in our relationship… moving in together. We moved into a small place in New Rochelle, within walking distance to the water. We learned so much about each other during our time here, faced many challenges but grew stronger as a couple. We were navigating our new lives, both of us commuting to our new jobs, and building foundation for a stable future to share. After a few years, we decided to move into a bigger place on the other side of Westchester County, with views of the Hudson River. We were so excited for this next chapter! We had talked about what our lives would be like once we moved, and the time arrived. We knew moving here would allow us to flourish and it was only a matter of time before we would take the next big step.</p>

Next Big Step

After seven and a half years together, countless memories made, strengthening an unbreakable bond, building incredible relationships with each others families, Robert planned a date on December 4, 2021 in New York City to see the Christmas lights. Robert told Macy we were going sightseeing around the city and doing a horse carriage ride through Central Park. While walking to Central Park, Macy saw these beautiful flowers lining a restaurant and mentioned she would want something like this at our wedding. Little did she know, Robert had planned to ask the big question only minutes later. As we walked past the carriages and towards the Gapstow Bridge, Macy was confused but followed Robert’s lead. We stop beside this blue box where he bent down to open it. Macy’s first thoughts were, “No! You see something, say something!” We don’t open random boxes in Central Park! As he kneeled down, Macy soon realized what was happening. The day she had waited for was here! He was proposing! He not only had the perfect words, but presented Macy with the most perfect gift. In addition to a beautiful engagement ring, we were welcoming the newest little fluffy member into our family. The cutest little Yorkie was in that box, wearing a bandana with the words “Will You Marry My Dad?” Macy was overcome with emotion, and said YES to her new fiancé in front of the crowd that built up around us. Not thinking this moment could get any better, Macy’s Mom walked out of that crowd to surprise her on this special day. We were both in the Carolinas for Thanksgiving the weekend before, so this was unexpected for Macy. Robert knew how important Macy’s relationship is with her Mother and planned the most thoughtful proposal, making this day one we will never forget!

Will You Marry Me?

<p>After searching for venues in both New York and the Carolinas, it only seemed right that we went back to the place that helped shape us, mold us into who we are both as individuals and a couple, the city we first moved in together, New Rochelle. We are so excited to share this relationship milestone with you all. We can't wait for you to be a part of our full circle moment, witness us becoming husband and wife and turn our 10 Year Anniversary into our Wedding date!</p>
