His Story:

I first met Macye when she walked into the Varsity Revue tryouts and started singing “She Will Be Loved” by Maroon 5 in what I could only guess was a country accent, and it was love at first sight!…just kidding. That was the first time I remember meeting Macye though. Our fraternity and sorority paired for a singing and dancing competition known as Varsity Revue at OSU and I was a director for the show. As the show went on, I began to become good friends with Macye’s friend group, but not so much with Macye…she kinda scared me. She was very much the star dancer who wanted to learn the dance and move on and, well I was let’s say more challenged in the realm of dancing. This was the semester that COVID hit and before leaving college to quarantine I had become good friends with several of Macye’s friends and as a group we had begun to spend quite a bit of time together. I didn’t know Macye well at all at this time, but at that point I had come to the conclusion that she was very cute, very funny, and someone I would like to get to know better. COVID was a weird time for everyone in life, for me it consisted mostly of school. What was interesting was that while I began to miss all of my friends at school, I began to miss Macye too…which I’ll admit was weird but still true. Throughout the quarantine period and right before school started up again just by chance (or much more likely by God’s plan) there were a few different times that I got to spend time with her and her friends. I found myself gravitating more and more to Macye and her personality, and even if she won’t admit it, she was feeling it too…or maybe that was just me thinking she was. But either way it worked right? By the time school rolled around again and especially when we finally got back on campus, Macye and I had gotten to hang out and talk a few different times and almost out of the blue she began pursuing me more. And at that point I knew it was game over. At this point, any time that our group of friends hung out, Macye and I would end up spending most of our time talking to each other. She would do things like “accidentally” steal my credit card so that I would have to go to her house and get it from her…and of course I’d end up staying a while and playing the Wii since I had made the trip out there already. Finally, after a little while of playing this game of cat and mouse, me being the mouse of course, I finally asked Macye on a first official date. From that point on we began to spend more and more time together, doing homework together, watching movies, and any other activity I could do just to spend more time with her. At the time she was thinking I wasn’t too serious and college was ending soon so maybe it was a bad idea to get involved, little did she know the plans God had in store for us. I had a better idea of course because I thought Macye was just about everything I could have asked for. She wouldn’t let me ask her to be my girlfriend for what seems like an eternity, but after nearly half a year of us going on dates, she finally agreed. Since then we have spent seriously almost every waking second together, and I’ve loved every minute. She even agreed to move to Arkansas with me and become my neighbor (yes, we live so close that we share one Wi-fi router), and in Arkansas we have continued to spend nearly every waking minute together. God has blessed me beyond belief my whole life, and Macye is another example of that fact. I am so grateful and undeserving of someone as special as she is, and I can’t imagine living the rest of my life with anyone else!
