Sofie & Maddie met when they were both in the Spring 2020 Cohort of the Baylor in New York program. While their time in NYC was cut short due to COVID, they became better friends while playing Animal Crossing over the next year. In July 2021, they moved back to New York together and got their first apartment in their beloved Morningside Heights neighborhood.

Parakh & John met at Baylor studying Computer Science. They became great friends while working at the library during their junior year. After graduation, they spent a lot of time hanging out while living in Dallas and now they both live in New York.

Jade & Maddie met in 2012 as freshmen at Rockwall High School when they were both members of the RHS Orange Wave Band. Their friendship would blossom when they became neighbors in Baylor's South Russell dorm and roommates in their house on Wood Ave!

Sean quickly became friends with both John and Maddie freshman year through the Baylor Golden Wave Band trumpet section. He always approved of the relationship and was one of the first to catch on to the fact that Maddie and John were talking! Sean and John were roommates at Baylor for 3 years

Faith & Maddie always thank Baylor's Random Roommate Generator for bringing them together. Maddie & Faith met in August 2016 when they moved into their shared dorm room in South Russell's dormitory. They became fast friends & lived together all 4 years at Baylor.

Dhruv joined the trumpet section of the Baylor Golden Wave Band a year after John and Maddie. Dhruv and John quickly became great friends while both playing for Baylor's Club Ultimate team, Stonewall.

Liz & Maddie met when mutual friend Kelsey (Gibbons) Dodd introduced them when Maddie joined Baylor's Kappa Chi Alpha sorority in 2018. That spring, Liz would become Maddie's sorority "big sister" and best friend, spending nearly all of their time together for the next year until Liz graduated. In the summer of 2019, Maddie took her first Zealot internship and moved in with the Scalora family for 7 weeks and commuted into Manhattan every day.

Christian also joined the Baylor Golden Wave Band trumpet section a year after John and Maddie. He shares with John a love for the Houston Rockets, a common conversation topic between them.

Claire & Maddie met when they both joined Kappa Chi Alpha in 2018, became fast friends and ended up becoming "cousins." Maddie & Claire were destined to become friends though, because they share so many interests — baking, crafts, plants, video games, and sports just to name a few!

Ricky entered the Baylor Golden Wave Band trumpet section with John and Maddie freshman year. John and Ricky got to know each other through trumpet section events and were roommates for 3 years at Baylor.

Danni & Maddie met when Danni joined the Baylor University Golden Wave Band as a trumpet player in 2018 and Danni was a part of Maddie's squad! They became fast friends and briefly worked together as salespeople for Bare Bucha.

Aaron and John met in high school band. They became especially close friends senior year, often throwing a frisbee at night in the school parking lot or driving to Chinatown for bubble tea.

Maddie's little brother of 25 years, Jason and Maddie were best friends as soon as Maddie chose Jason over a puppy.

Maddie is John’s younger sister. Although she decided against joining him at Baylor, their relationship turned out alright(, alright, alright).
