Where is the ceremony and reception?
Our ceremony and reception will be at the same venue! The venue is called the Views at Sunset Ridge and the address is 8150 Dalton Pike Cleveland, TN 37323.
What do we do if we are late to the ceremony?
The venue staff will block the entrance while the ceremony is going on to reduce any chance of distraction. If you are late, unfortunately, you will probably miss the ceremony. However afterwards, the entrance will be reopened so you can join us for the reception. Please don't leave we would still love for you to join us!
What are the plans for inclement weather?
If there is inclement weather we plan to move the ceremony inside, so we will all stay dry and be able to celebrate together!
What are your plans for plus one's?
Although we would love for everyone's special someone or good friend to attend our wedding, we weren't able to provide accommodations for everyone. When you RSVP on this website it should give you the option for a plus one and if you have the option then we already planned on them coming! You may call or text if you have any questions about this!
What are your plans for kids/ babies?
We love kiddos, especially the kids that are our friends and family! We would love for them to be at the big day, but please make sure to specify how many kids are coming and that we have already accommodated for them to come. You will know if we were already expecting them to come if they were specified for in your invitation. Also please specify if they will need a kids meal for dinner so we can tell the chef at our venue!
Where should I stay if I am traveling from out of state to the wedding?
Maddie's family on both sides will have air bnb's rented for them to stay in prior to the wedding. However, if you are not part of the family or the wedding party there will be rooms reserved at a local hotel to accommodate you. Since there is a small number of people that are not in the family or wedding party, please call or text the bride or groom!
I would like to purchase something from your registry, but it's "out of stock." What should I do?
A lot of things on Amazon sell out quickly, we are sorry for any inconvenience. However, if you would still like to purchase that item you can search something similar, or donate money to our home fund. The colors we are doing in our future home are neutrals (tan, creams, white, grey, brown) and different shades of blue! There will also be a cards table for any cards, or much needed marital advice, available during the cocktail hour. Thank you in advance for thinking about us, and we're grateful for all our friends and family supporting us!
What should I wear to your wedding?
For the gals we would recommend wearing nice church attire. So, dresses, jumpsuits, or nice pants and blouses. Please refrain from wearing very bright colors like neons, reds, or white. The ceremony will be outside so be mindful of wearing heels as they might sink in the grass. For the fellas we would recommend also wearing nice church attire. So, slacks, button down shirts, nice boots or dress shoes. Ties are not required, but certainly welcomed!
What should I do if I have a tough time walking up a lot of stairs or have a walker?
There will be shuttles to take you to the ceremony space if you have trouble walking and the ushers will assist you to your seat. Our venue also has three floors, but there is an elevator to use at your convenience!
Will there be alcohol at your wedding?
No, due to the expense of alcohol, the bride and groom have opted to not serve alcohol at the wedding. However, we know that we will all have so much fun together without it!
What is the parking situation for the day of?
When you pull into the venue driveway you will follow it up to the top of the hill where you will be directed down to a large gravel lot. From there, there will be shuttles ready to take you closer to the ceremony space when you arrive and to your car when you are leaving. We request you be seated fifteen minutes before the ceremony starts at the latest, but if you happen to be running late the last shuttle will run up to that fifteen minute mark as well.
Extra Details:
Spencer and Maddie are excited to have everyone there and will be having activities that might require a small amount of cash during the reception. So, we would recommend if you would like to participate in a dollar dance or auction for the groom's cake, bringing a few one dollar bills.
