IMPORTANT: The Peaks Resort & Spa and Palmyra Lookout are both located above 9,000 ft. Acclimating to the altitude does take time, and we encourage you to: stay hydrated, reduce alcohol + caffeine intake, limit energy expenditure, and consume more calories (carbohydrates) than usual. We also recommend "Boost Oxygen," bottled oxygen which can be found on Amazon and in stores in Telluride.
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
We ask all guests to be at The Peaks Resort & Spa lobby no later than 3PM to be shuttled to Palmyra Lookout for the ceremony. The Peaks Resort is located at 136 Country Club Dr, Telluride, CO 81435.
What is the best way to get to and from the ceremony and reception venues?
We will have special transportation for guests from the Peaks Resort to Palmyra Lookout, as the venue is located on a mountain and has no parking on-site. The same transportation will take you from the ceremony to the Peaks Resort for the cocktail hour and reception.
Is the wedding indoor or outdoor?
The ceremony will be held outdoors. The cocktail hour will be held on an outdoor terrace with indoor access. The reception will be held in an indoor space with outdoor access.
Am I allowed to take photos at the wedding?
We ask all devices to be turned off during the ceremony. After the ceremony has concluded, feel free to take pictures as desired.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, guests will take provided transportation to The Peaks Resort & Spa's Mt. Wilson Terrace to enjoy a cocktail hour while the bride and groom take pictures nearby. Cocktail hour will consist of lightly passed hors d'oeuvres and an open bar
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, there will be an open bar at the cocktail hour and reception that will be serving wine, beer, and liquor.
What is the weather like in Telluride, CO in July?
Expect the high to be in the mid to high 70s and lows to be in the 50s
