Our Story
We met through a mutual friend at the end of our sophomore year in high school. We would run into each other throughout that summer and Junior year, catching up with some small talk between classes. It was not until the fall of Senior year that we got to know each other. We did everything we could together, went to football games, dances, late-night outings, each other's sporting events (Brandon wrestled and I swam), and canyon drives. We were inseparable!

Graduation came and went. We enjoyed every second of that summer, getting ready to attend the same university, learning how to take tracks, and preparing for our first semester of college. However, three days before the semester began, I decided to change schools. Our first semester of college was wild, just joking. It sucked! Our first semester consisted of early mornings, late nights, random late-night outings for fries, and a constant conversation of "I'm pretty sure I failed that exam!" The second semester came and went, but our time together had not changed. We were with each other almost every day.
Now, I know what you are thinking. We have been dating this whole time?! Nope!
We would not start dating until 2019, So fast forward a few years, a trip to Europe for Brandon and the opportunity to present at a research symposium for maddie, and in the winter of 2019, Brandon and I went on our first date.
Our first date was a blast! We went sledding, followed by hot chocolate and me wishing I wore warmer gloves!
However, Shortly after that, Covid hit! So We spent that spring and summer hiking, road tripping to Utah’s national parks, learning to cook new things, and teaching Brandon how to paddle board.
We filled the next two years with fun adventures, learning and watching our relationship grow into much more than our high school selves could have ever imagined. On January 1st, 2022 Brandon proposed! We rang in the new year watching fireworks over the salt lake valley and enjoying the start to this new exacting phase of our lives!
