We met in the most unexpected yet perfect way—working side by side at an animal shelter. From the very beginning, we connected over our shared passion for animals and the meaningful work we did together. There was an instant spark, and as time passed, that connection only grew deeper and stronger.

One afternoon, before we had even started dating, we were sitting at work eating Chinese takeout—just another ordinary day. As Noah opened his fortune cookie, he read the message inside: “You will find love in unexpected places.” We laughed at how oddly fitting it was in the moment… and looking back now, it couldn’t have been more true.

As time went on, that lighthearted moment started to feel a little less like coincidence and a little more like fate. The more time we spent together—both at work and beyond—the clearer it became that what we had was something real. Our friendship turned into love, and with every step forward, we felt more sure that we had found something worth holding on to.

Eventually, we moved in together and began building a life surrounded by our little family—our dog Whiskey, our cat Astro, our two guinea pigs Flower and Theo, and our bunny Lizzie. With them by our side, we knew we had found something truly special.

Every day with them (and each other) is full of love, laughter, and a little bit of fur.
