Back in 2016, Tommy and Maddie were seniors at Poway High and had never crossed paths up until the last semester, senior year, in our Physics class. We had mutual friends in common, but some how never spoke. One day we ended up walking out in a group to our cars to leave campus for lunch and ended up just the two of us talking outside of Maddie's car for the next two hours as if it were only two minutes. From that point on, we knew we had a bond we couldn't lose after graduating high school and being on paths to go to colleges in different states. This picture is from our high school graduation (before we started dating) almost 9 years ago! We spent the entire summer together enjoying post-high school / pre-college freedom &amp; ended up doing long distance when Maddie went to school in Texas and Tommy went to school in San Diego. We continued to date through college and were able to go on a very sentimental trip to Europe in 2017, cementing that fact that we want to travel together for the rest of our lives. When Maddie ended up moving back to San Diego in 2020, it was clear that San Diego would be home where we would grow our lives together. We moved in together in 2022 and grew our friendships and careers along the way. In October 2023, Tommy proposed at Torrey Pines Reserve and completely surprised Maddie by taking a walk (aka uphill hike) to a beautifully decorated circle of flowers over looking the ocean below. Easiest yes ever!! We have enjoyed being able to spend the last several months planning a fun evening ahead on August 2nd &amp; are so excited to officially be married to start the next chapter of our lives together!
