Maddie and Max's journey began when he asked her to prom junior year of high school. Max's black lab Kobe helped him with the promposal with a sign saying "it would be ruff if I had to go alone... PROM?"

Maddie and Max went to prom as friends junior year. They had a wonderful time at International Market Square in Minneapolis dancing the night away. By the end of the night they both knew they wanted to continue getting to know each other and become more than friends.

After Anoka came back to beat Andover in a thrilling match, Max thought it would the perfect time to ask Maddie to be his girlfriend. She said yes!

Maddie and Max got voted in to be part of their winter formal royalty court. They leaned on Max's nickname "Pickle" for a unique entrance for the assembly.

Max and Maddie graduated together from Anoka High School and were excited to attend NDSU together in the fall.

Max and Maddie's relationship continued to grow during their time together in Fargo. They enjoyed attending school events as well as making new friends along the way.

Maddie surprised Max with a spring break trip to Arizona. They had fun for their first time traveling together by going to the Grand Canyon, horseback riding, and Max's favorite fishing store.

Max graduated with his bachelor's degree in Microbiology and started his first job in Fargo while Maddie finished school.

Over the years Maddie has accompanied Max on his many fishing trips and learned along the way.

Maddie's graduation from her Master's of Accountancy program. Max was a wonderful support system for Maddie during her extra year of school.

Maddie and Max enjoyed their last date together in Fargo before moving back to Minnesota.

They took a trip to pick out their first puppy together. A couple weeks later, Max picked him up and brought him to his forever home.

The day Max proposed to Maddie, he asked her the same way he asked her to prom in the beginning, but with their new puppy. Blue had a cute note on his collar and waited so patiently for Maddie to read it before Max got down on one knee.

On their 6 year dating anniversary, Max proposed to Maddie at the beautiful park overlooking the Rum River. Maddie was a mess of happy tears to be spending forever together. They share anticipation and excitement for their future together, and can't wait to celebrate with their friends and family!
