We were introduced through friends at Baylor in the Fall of 2018. Our friends tried to set us up to go to a sorority formal together, but I chickened out at the last minute and cancelled on Joey. When I met Joey in person for the first time, I immediately regretted cancelling on him and promised to make it up to him. Ever since that day, we have been best friends, living life together and going on adventures together. One of our greatest adventures was when Joey booked us a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in January 2023. On our first night there, Joey set up a romantic sunset dinner right on the beach and proposed. As the cherry on top, Joey surprised me by having my parents fly down to be there with us. It was an amazing trip and the perfect start to our engagement. I can’t wait for our next adventures at the wedding and on our honeymoon in Italy!

I was introduced to Maddie through a mutual friend from college. We were supposed to go on a date event together, but plans fell through. After awhile we finally met in person and started hanging out together a lot, like going to Baylor football games, watching movies (Moana and the Greatest Showman), and just chatting with each other. We started to realizing we had a lot of things in common like we both came from Dallas, went to rival high schools (Prestonwood and Bishop Lynch), we loved to travel, and go on adventures. We began dating and became best friends. We dated for three and half years before I finally got up the nerve and proposed to Maddie in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It was a romantic dinner on the beach and her parents came to surprise her as well. We will never forget that night in Mexico when we went from best friends dating to fiancés and future husband and wife!
