It all started with an app...

With both of us in our later twenties, gone were the days of meeting new people on a night out and we all know perfect strangers don't often fall in love at a coffee shop or the grocery store, a la Hallmark movie.

Maddie opened with "Wow, our dogs look so much alike 🐶". Strong opening line, I know. That conversation lead to a date at Central Pizza. I guess you could say the rest is history. Months later, Lorenzo moved back to Mandeville for work and to be close to family. Maddie remained in Lafayette for work and to be close to her family. It's been this way for quite some time.

Though living 126 miles apart has its challenges, it has brought us closer together in many ways. We cherish the time we do have together and celebrate the little day-to-day moments we are able to share. We are always looking forward to the next time we get to see each other. Absence (even for a few days at a time) really does make the heart grow fonder!

We can't wait to start our lives together!
