Maddy and Matt met Summer of 2021 while Matt was a student ministry intern and Maddy was volunteering. They talked and spent time together all summer at different student's events and during intern hangouts. Eventually, they admitted their feelings for each other but knew it wasn't the right time to start dating. They were both disappointed but knew they could trust the Lord in the waiting. Sure enough less than a year later they reconnected right before Maddy was going to be a student's intern at the same church they met at. They began talking long distance and Matt came to visit Maddy so they could go on a proper date. The rest is history from there as we met each other's families, went on trips together, and traveled every other weekend to make long-distance work. Then on November 11, 2023, at the same church they met at, Matt asked Maddy to marry him and in a moment of shock she said yes! Now we're getting married September 20th!
