I met Madalyn Paige Kirkland through the Hinge dating app. She allowed me to make a great first impression at Perkins Rowe - drinks and a movie - that movie being Top Gun: Maverick. I'd say I made a great impression, but more important was the impression she left on me, not just that day, but every day.

Now, Mads may claim I was awkward and wore flip-flops on the first date. Don't believe this! If you know me at all, you know I HATE flip-flops.

My life changed forever the day I met Ryan. I was never one to go on many dates because I always made myself sick from nerves. However, Ryan asked to meet me at Perkins Rowe to get drinks and watch Top Gun Maverick. Something in my gut told me to just give him a chance, so, I went.

I got lost and did not know where Ryan was, so he called me after we both parked. As soon as I answered the phone shyly, he was singing. Little did I know that this awkward guy in flip-flops on our first date would be the love of my life.
