Maddy and Cooper officially met and became friends first semester of their freshman year in PCC class in the fall of 2014. After a few months of being friends, Cooper asked Maddy to be his girlfriend at her 15th surprise birthday party in July of 2015.

Fast forward to Cooper and Maddy's senior year of high school, when they were on the homecoming and prom court.

Cooper and Maddy graduated high school and headed to Purdue University together where Cooper majored in Agri Business Management and Maddy majored in Interior Design.

Cooper and Maddy graduated from Purdue 4 years later and went on to work in the real world. Cooper is an event manager for the Center for Food and Ag Business at Purdue. While Maddy is an Interior Designer working for her step dad's construction company, John Vanderkolk Construction in Lafayette, IN.

Cooper took Maddy to Holland, MI for a weekend getaway before things got busy during the holiday season. Before dinner, they wanted to see the sunset on the beach and Cooper surprised Maddy with a ring she had been waiting for!
