Our Wedding

Michael and Maddy met in 2016 at PMO (Choir) Camp. It wasn’t until 2017 during Christmas Show rehearsals that they started getting to know each other better over the once-popular app Friendo. They officially started dating in February 2018 after a very successful date to Noodles and Co. In 2020, Michael landed a job in Madison, Wisconsin and they both decided to move in together there. On August 20th, 2022 Michael proposed to Maddy at a star gazing field in the Purdue area. Maddy and Michael enjoy spending time together with their fuzzy son, Ollie, playing video games, doing puzzles, singing, and laughing. They’ve been in several musicals together including Heathers, Mamma Mia, Monstersongs, and Avenue Q. The two are excited to get married in October and are looking forward to celebrating with all their friends and family.

The Dane County Farmers’ Market on the Square is a Saturday and Wednesday tradition in Madison, Wisconsin. You’ll find the season’s best bounty of vegetables, flowers, meats, cheeses, and specialty products from approximately 275 vendors throughout the year. Over 150 members attend every Saturday. All of the items for sale are grown, raised, and produced in Wisconsin by the person behind the stand. Our favorite stand is Yummee Treats (try the ooey gooey cookie). 

Dane County Farmers' Market

Free tours of the Capitol building are offered daily Monday-Saturday every hour from 9am-3pm (no tour at 12pm for lunch). Sunday tours are offered every hour from 1-4pm. There is some beautiful art inside!

Want to get some coffee, sandwiches, and pastries at a cute, local shop? Look no further than our favorite spot, Michelangelos Coffee House, conveniently located down the street from our wedding venue. We recommend the salami pesto sandwich and raspberry cream cheese croissant :)

Take a stroll down State Street and visit the UW Memorial Union Terrace, located directly on the shore of Lake Mendota. Here you'll find live music, pizza, brats, drinks, and ice cream to enjoy as you feel the cool autumn breeze off the lake. On your way, enjoy the sights of the University's historic buildings and scenic campus.

Check out the various stores located on Madison's dedicated pedestrian street. You'll find everything from various styles of clothing stores, hobby shops, restaurants, to cute boutiques. You might find the store with the largest selection of cheese in Wisconsin or a few vintage thrift stores to explore.

During the reception, we'll alternate dancing with karaoke courtesy of Papa Bear Productions. Sign up for your favorite song to belt along to solo or as a group. Singers with any experience level are encouraged to let loose!
