Started freshman year at LU. Excited to finally live the dream, playing D1 softball in a top 25 program.

Started freshman year, ready to start the grind of making his childhood dreams come true. Wasn't too worried about the academic piece of it haha.

The first time we met. Some of our baseball and softball friends met up to go bowling on a random Thursday night. Sully beat everyone of course. Maddy asked the boys who he was and the other guys said he "wasn't really into dating".

We had the absolute best friend group freshman year of college. Every day after our practices, the 5 of us spent the evening together.

We were of course, "just friends" because neither one of us would admit that we liked the other.

Sully drove separate then the rest of us this night for some reason. When we were driving back to campus Maddy was the first one to offer to ride back with Sully so he "didn't have to ride alone". That night we sat outside of the dorms for hours talking and sharing our life, all while realizing that one of us was going to have to fess up pretty soon about our feelings.

This is the first time we hung-out with Sully's family without the rest of the friend group. Obviously the girls knew something was up at this point.

Both of our seasons rolled around and we were both traveling like crazy. Both families still made it a priority to support us in this journey.

Our last night together before Maddy moved down to Florida for the entire summer to play softball.

Sully was scared he was missing out on good fishing and had to come visit. He missed Maddy too of course.

Sully obviously had to stay and watch some softball too.

Started a new school year, but this time without Sully. Sully started working and adulting. Maddy started nursing school and still continued to play softball.

We had the very best friends. Spent all our weekends at the ball field or hanging out with them.

When Sully wasn't working he was a patient for almost every nursing simulation that ever had to be done haha.

Spent another summer together.

Spent tons of time with family this summer.

Another school year. Maddy started her junior year of nursing school, this time without softball.

Sully bought his very first house!

Now we spend our weekends hanging out with friends at Sully's house.

This Thanksgiving we took a trip back down to the OBX with Sully's family.

And Maddy said the easiest "yes" of her entire life!

Both of our families came down to the OBX and we had the best celebration after the engagement! We cannot wait to get married this July with all of our family and friends surrounding us!
