What's the dress code?
Colorful semiformal! Spring is a celebration of life and love, so bright and cheerful colors are preferred. No white (of course) and no black (too dreary). However, our priority is that we don't want anyone to worry that they need to purchase something new for our wedding. So if that's you, stick with something you already have and love!
Should I stay in Rochester or Geneva?
Up to you! Most of the pre-wedding activities (Shabbat, movie screening, Havdalah) will be in Rochester, so if you're interested in attending one or more of those, Rochester may be your best bet. However, if you care more about being close to the ceremony on the wedding day, Geneva would be the way to go. Either way, the cities are only about 50 minutes apart.
What's your phone policy?
Ideally, we'd like everyone to be able to leave their phones in the car on the day of the wedding. We know how distracting smartphones can be in this day and age, and when just one person pulls theirs out to check an email, a ripple effect occurs. We will have games, plenty of dancing, and more to keep everyone entertained. If you must keep your phone on you, we ask that you please keep it powered down, and step away from the premises to use it if necessary.
I have a dietary restriction, will there be food for me?
Yes! We will be serving food buffet style, and there will be vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free options for both lunch and dessert.
Will there be an open or closed bar?
No, we will not be serving alcohol at our wedding. Instead there will be hot tea, coffee, iced tea, and lemonade available for everyone. Please do not bring any alcohol to the ceremony or reception.
