There are no wedding plans scheduled this day. We recommend staying at the Havshotell Thursday evening and then switching hotel to Grand Hotel Marstrand for Friday and Saturday evening. The Bridal Couple will be preparing and coordinating all the final details for the wedding. Once arrived please let the Bridal Couple know so that they may greet and welcome you! Want to relax after a long journey here? Take this time to book a spa day at the Marstrand Havshotell. Please take this time to explore the nature on Koön and Marstrand islands- regardless of the weather, there is so much to see and explore with incredibly unique scenery.

Please make proper plans ahead so that your children are taken care of whilst attending our wedding. We love your your children however for this day we kindly ask that you plan ahead and coordinate babysitting. The location of the reception is over 18 years old. Trust us, we love your fur babies/dogs- however this day will not be the day for them to join - pets are not allowed, please coordinate so that your fur baby is taken care of while you celebrate with us.

Now! As soon as possible. Accommodation is limited on the island. Havshotellet is open every day of the week, whilst Grand Hotel and Kurhotellet are open either Friday to Sunday or Thursday to Sunday. If you arrive prior to the weekend then you may want to book Havshotellet and then switch hotel for the wedding evening. Please see the Hotels tab on this site.

We have scheduled a private tour of the Carlstens Fästning (Fortress) at 4pm on Friday April 25th. Friday evening we kindly suggest booking dinner at a restaurant of your choice. We will then greet everyone after dinner.

All parking will be on Koön island. Long term parking (more than 24 hours) will be at Danske Sten (about an 8 minute walk to the ferry). If you are staying at Havshotellet they should have reserved parking for their guests (small fee may occur- please double check with them if this is the hotel you will be staying at).

Cell phones must be on silent for the duration of the ceremony. We highly encourage all of our guests to enjoy the moment, there will be two professional photographers there that will capture all these moments for everyone. We kindly request if you take photos or film, please do so discreetly so that no one else's view is affected. No flash.

The dresscode is Formal Dark Suit (Mörk Kostym). This means: For Men: Dark Suit, White or Light Colored Shirt and Tie (Colorful and/or Patterned Tie) For Women: Formal, Cocktail Dress below the knee. We love colors! No whites, no off-whites, no creams, no similarities in color or form that would mimic a wedding gown. As the wedding is in the Spring we'd love to see as many beautiful colorful dresses as possible.

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all! There will be a welcome table at the Wedding Reception at Johan's Krog where there will be a guest book, and where gifts and cards may be placed. Alternatively, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be so very kind. If you would like to provide a gift, please feel free to surprise us in your way, gifts are not expected, however as per the request of many guests we have also created a wishlist, please copy and paste the link below.

Absolutely! Speeches and toasts are not expected, however they are warmly welcomed. You may do so during the celebratory cocktail hour or once seated for dinner. Should you opt for during the dinner party then we kindly ask for toasts to be given before or during appetizer, in-between changing of the meals, or after the main course. Should you wish to say a few words kindly keep it to 2-3 minutes.

Comfortable walking shoes! Sneakers or hiking shoes will be your best friend while you explore the island. Please note that Marstrand is a car free island, and most streets are cobblestone. There are hiking trails around the island which we greatly encourage you to explore during your free time. The weather on the coast of Sweden can change- we advise checking the weather forecast closer to the date.

Yes! The grocery store is called, COOP, and it is located on the Koön island

The drive is about 45 minutes from the Airport to Koön (this is where you will be able to park your car) and then you take a 1 minute ferry to Marstrand island.

The ferry ride costs 38 SEK (about $3.40) with return. You only need to purchase the ticket while going from Koön to Marstrand island, tickets are not needed to go from Marstrand to Koön.

Landvetter Aiport has 'flybussen' (flight bus). It takes 20 minutes to travel by Airport Coach between the airport and Gothenburg City Centre (Nils Ericsson Terminal). At the airport, the bus stops are located directly outside the check-in hall. From Gothenburg City Centre (Nils Ericsson Terminal) take the bus to Marstrand Färjeläge - this bus takes about 1 hour, please note there is a stop where you may need to change bus.
