It all began with Peter sending Madeleine a friend request on Facebook, after both being members of the group "UW-River&nbsp;Falls Admitted Students - Fall 2012".&nbsp;On August 3rd 2012, at 1:08 a.m. Peter sent Madeleine the following message:&nbsp;"Hi There,&nbsp;Yes I know this is a little different, someone you don't really know messaging you, but just hear me out for a second. I friended you a few days ago, and in your little info box you wrote "If you care to get to know me - I don't bite" and I was like "why not, meeting new people is fun" so yeah. Since we're both going to UW-River Falls I was wondering: what are you planning to major in? and what are some of your hobbies? Since I'm asking the questions, I mind as well answer them too: I'm planning to major in elementary edu because I like working with kids, and you get a summer vacation! A few of my hobbies include skiing, biking and I guess chocolate, if you can consider eating a hobby?&nbsp;I'm sorry if this seems a bit much, or too forward, I just thought I'd start writing and see how it turned out, I guess it went a little long for a "Hi, how are you?" message."&nbsp;At 1:37 a.m. Madeleine sent her first reply:&nbsp;"Hi!&nbsp;My major is actually also&nbsp;Elementary Ed, mostly for the kids but also because I've always generally liked school/learning/etc. The summer vacation doesn't hurt either! Eating can definitely be a hobby and everyones should be chocolate. Some hobbies: dancing, reading, swimming (but just in the summer, not as a sport). Thanks for the message- meeting people seems like one of several daunting but exciting parts about college. So where are you from? And what keeps you up at one in the morning? (I guess my only reason is just that its summer)"&nbsp;The rest, as they say, is history.&nbsp;

Carolyn&nbsp;and&nbsp;Madeleine&nbsp;met&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;first&nbsp;day&nbsp;of&nbsp;first&nbsp;grade,&nbsp;when&nbsp;their&nbsp;teacher&nbsp;introduced&nbsp;them.

Evan and Peter met on their local ski team as middle schoolers.&nbsp;

Chris and Peter met as Student Senate members in college.&nbsp;

Lucy&nbsp;and&nbsp;Madeleine&nbsp;met&nbsp;in&nbsp;high&nbsp;school,&nbsp;and&nbsp;became&nbsp;friends&nbsp;in&nbsp;math&nbsp;class.

Katlin&nbsp;and&nbsp;Madeleine&nbsp;met&nbsp;their&nbsp;first&nbsp;night&nbsp;of&nbsp;college,&nbsp;when&nbsp;their&nbsp;Resident&nbsp;Assistant&nbsp;Mariah&nbsp;had&nbsp;them&nbsp;pair&nbsp;up&nbsp;randomly&nbsp;and&nbsp;exchange&nbsp;fun&nbsp;facts.

Caitlin&nbsp;and&nbsp;Peter&nbsp;met&nbsp;in&nbsp;Tomorrow's&nbsp;Educators,&nbsp;a&nbsp;student&nbsp;organization&nbsp;at&nbsp;UWRF.

Hannah&nbsp;and&nbsp;Madeleine&nbsp;met&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;first&nbsp;day&nbsp;of&nbsp;professional&nbsp;development,&nbsp;when&nbsp;they&nbsp;both&nbsp;taught Preschool&nbsp;for&nbsp;St.&nbsp;Paul&nbsp;Public&nbsp;Schools.

Hannah Martin

Megan&nbsp;and&nbsp;Peter&nbsp;shared&nbsp;classes&nbsp;as&nbsp;pre-student&nbsp;teachers&nbsp;at&nbsp;UWRF.

Megan Reily

Lindsay&nbsp;and&nbsp;Peter&nbsp;met&nbsp;at&nbsp;UWRF,&nbsp;and&nbsp;they&nbsp;became&nbsp;two&nbsp;of&nbsp;a&nbsp;group&nbsp;of&nbsp;four&nbsp;fast&nbsp;friends&nbsp;with&nbsp;Caitlin&nbsp;and&nbsp;Megan.
