Copper Creek in is located 2 miles from the Paradise entrance to Mount Rainier National park. We highly recommend making time to visit the park. Even if you aren't an avid hiker or are not in the best shape I would still give it a visit. There are many drivable sights to see. Early June is the start of the busy season at the park. Some of the higher elevation trails will probably have snow on them but there should be plenty of wildflowers to see in the lowlands. This time of year can be very busy at the park and in 2024 the National Parks Service started a Timed entry reservation system. They haven't announced the 2025 rules yet but in 2024 you need to reserve your entry 90 days in advance to guarantee entry. I will update this when the 2025 rules come out but I would keep on eye on the NPS website if your interested in visiting the park.
We have visited the Museum of Pop Culture many times including our first trip to Seattle in 2019. MoPop is located at the Seattle Center near the space needle. MoPop is a nonprofit museum dedicated to contemporary popular culture. The museum is housed in a stunning building designed by Frank Gehry, known for its unique, colorful, and curvaceous architecture. MoPop features exhibits on music, science fiction, fantasy, horror, and video games, showcasing memorabilia, interactive installations, and educational programs. It's a great place to explore the cultural phenomena that shape our lives, from Jimi Hendrix's guitars to sci-fi movie props.
Pike Place Market is a bustling public market overlooking the Elliott Bay waterfront. One of Maddie's stipulations for moving here was we need to be within driving distance of Pikes Place! It's one of the oldest continuously operated farmers' markets in the United States, dating back to 1907. The market is famous for its fresh produce, seafood, flowers, and local crafts. Visitors can watch fishmongers throw fish, explore the unique shops, enjoy street performers, and grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants and food stalls. Pike Place Market is a vibrant and lively spot to experience the heart of Seattle's food and culture scene!
Alder lake is located 20 minutes west of Copper Creek lodge. It is a wonderful large lake that is easily accessible and has multiple beaches for swimming on a hot day.
LB Hobo pizza car is cute place to eat pizza on a train! We ate here on our first trip to Seattle in 2019 and stop here for a slice whenever we are on the area. It's located 15 minutes west of Copper Creek Lodge.
