... in a studio far far away, two musicians met and started an incredible adventure!

Madeline and Jacob (Maddy and Jo) met when Jo auditioned for Maddy and Natalie's band, DreamStates. Jo recounts " I was way out of my league at the audition, as a band and choir kid, gig musicianship was outside my wheelhouse. Thankfully the two of them saw something in me and extended an invite. Our first show together I was glued to Maddy's side on stage, we've been inseparable ever since."

Bands historically spend a lot of time together and the two got to know each other better; a particular bonding point being discussions over civil rights and the dichotomy of leaders Martin Luther King and Malcolm X.

Jo decided to take another leap of faith and ask Maddy out. She said yes and one snowy February night, the two played arcade games at a local arcade bar. The lovely evening cemented an already budding romance.

They moved in together at the start of the pandemic, deciding if they can make it through a global illness, they can make it through anything. They have made a lovely home with their treasured fuzzy child, Professor Tobias Thumbs.

After five years of life together, Jo surprised Maddy with a proposal before a community dinner. Though she was suspicious, as Jo loathes being late to anything, the surprise still landed, and she said yes.
