It began with a simple trade, Eevee for a Pikachu, and before long, Joshua found himself walking Madeline to class. Days passed, and with each exchange, playful comments about being a "perfect team" and fluttering lashes seemed to draw them closer.

But for Madeline, it wasn’t enough. She knew the sweet, quiet, and charming Joshua needed a nudge. So, with a heart full of courage, she decided to ask him to the Winter Formal.

And when she did, his response was a hesitant, "Uh, I'll think about it."
