Day Of Details

Hi everyone!

We’re so excited to celebrate with you soon. Below are all the key details you’ll need for the wedding day, including travel tips, lodging information, the schedule, and the menu.

Helpful Tips & Tricks for Driving in the Mountains

Estes Park is a stunning mountain town but driving up can be a little different than your usual highway cruise. To help make your trip smooth and stress-free, here are a few tips:

Plan for Extra Travel Time
Mountain roads can be winding and slower than expected. Give yourself plenty of cushion especially if you’re driving up on the day of the wedding. We recommend arriving in Estes Park no later than 1:45 PM so you can get settled before the ceremony.

Watch for Wildlife
Elk, deer, and other wildlife are commonly spotted near the road, especially in the mornings and evenings. Drive carefully and keep an eye on both sides of the road.

Use Lower Gears on Descents
When going downhill, especially on curvy roads, use a lower gear to avoid riding your brakes. This helps prevent overheating and gives you more control.

Fill Up Before Heading Up
Gas stations become less frequent once you leave the front range. Top off your tank before you start the climb into the mountains.

Expect Limited Cell Service
While most areas have service, there can be pockets without reception. Download your directions in advance or take screenshots just in case.

Check the Weather
Even in late November, mountain weather can change quickly. Pack layers and keep an eye on the forecast for potential wind, rain, or snow.

Drive Slowly & Enjoy the View
The roads leading to Estes Park are beautiful but can be narrow and winding. Take your time, stay in your lane on curves, and let locals or faster drivers pass when safe.
