Rhyan and Madeline met at DVC in an anatomy class. Starting from the 1st day sitting across from one another they were paired off as lab partners. Over the semesters during lab they would finish work as fast as possible to spend the breaks walking the campus and just lounging outside, and spend lecture playing games. This daily interaction slowly blossomed into a friendship (and lets be honest with some help a benefit to Rhy).

The night before thanksgiving Rhyan offered to pick Mad up from the bars. In the car they spent hours joking, playing would you rather and 21 questions, ending with a date planned for the following Friday.

Mad and Rhyan both eventually moved down to Long Beach where he was finishing his Bachelor's degree, and she starting her Doctorate. It was there they shared their love for food, beach walks, morning workouts, NFL Sundays (rhy) and Texas Football Saturday's, Tahoe, and traveling near and far as much as they could!

Eventually they both were able to move back to the Bay Area for work. After a long time (and a lot of hint dropping and persistence) Rhyan proposed at Oakhurst Country Club in front of Mad's family!
